Meet Our Team

Jim Sullivan, Partner
Jim is President of Crossing Development, Inc., the company responsible for The Crossing at Willow Bay. He is also President of Sullivan Homes, Inc. and Flagstone Development Group, Inc., one of the largest builders and developers in eastern Washington. Jim is a member of the Board of Sullivan Homes Idaho, the preeminent Sandpoint lodge home and custom builder. In 2003, he was honored with the distinction of being named “Builder of Year” by the Spokane Home Builders Association.

Prior to his involvement in the residential building and development business, Jim enjoyed a 32 year career in the residential and commercial mortgage lending business. He served as Executive Vice President with U.S. Bank in Portland, Oregon and managed a $2 billion commercial and residential loan portfolio. He has been involved in distinctive projects throughout the western United States. Additionally, Jim has lectured nationally on development and lending issues and was president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Washington. He has been active in the art community and served as President of the Museum of Native American Cultures in Spokane, Washington, and currently serves on the board of the Museum of Arts and Culture in Spokane. He has been a long time participant in racing vintage sport cars on the west coast and is currently restoring a vintage wood boat whose home port will be Willow Bay. Jim and his wife Kathy have owned property on Lake Pend Oreille since 1973.

Brett Sullivan
Brett Sullivan is responsible for all land development operations for Flagstone Development Group, Inc. and is Vice President of Sullivan Homes, Inc. He has been actively involved in all phases of residential construction and development since 1997. Representative communities include The Glen at MeadowWood, The Estates at MeadowWood and The Vintage at MeadowWood, as well as communities on Spokane's South Hill, Five Mile Prairie, North Spokane, Deer Park and Spokane Valley. Brett has also been instrumental in the acquisition, entitlement, permitting, infrastructure development and operations of The Crossing at Willow Bay.

Brett graduated from the University of Washington in 1991 and Gonzaga University School of Law, cum laude, in 1994. He has since maintained a land use and development legal practice. He also served as First Vice President of Spokane Home Builders Association in 2007 and is actively serving as President. Brett lives on Spokane's South Hill with his wife and two sons.

Goble/Robinson, Partners
Geoff Goble and Ron Robinson have recently become partners in The Crossing at Willow Bay. In addition to their investment; they bring years of experience in commercial real estate investment, development, management and consulting. Geoff and his family have been active commercial property investors for more than 40 years with holdings in California, Hawaii, and Montana and is a partner in several projects in the Sandpoint area. Geoff and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 40 years, have two daughters and currently live in McLeod, Montana.

Ron has been active in commercial real estate for over 30 years. After receiving a BA in Marketing from the University of Idaho in 1967 and a JD from Santa Clara Law School in 1985, he became a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) in 1992. Ron is the Founder and President of R. L. Robinson Associates, Inc. and the Managing Member of Northwest Fund I LLC, the company developing WestPointe Plaza in Sandpoint. In addition to his numerous local developments and investments, Ron has been an active investor and developer in California, Hawaii, Montana and most recently secured entitlements for a 254 lot, over 55 mixed use subdivision in Jamestown, California. He and his wife, Lesley, have three children and six grandchildren. Ron and Lesley live in Sunnyvale, California when not at their second home in Sandpoint.

Steve Calhoon, Site Planner
Steve is a senior planner and project manager for WH Pacific, a dynamic land planning and site engineering consulting firm.  He has more than 25 years of development experience ranging from large-scale community land use plans to site-specific neighborhood planning throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Steve specializes in capturing and implementing the vision for a site, while capitalizing its best features and opportunities.

Wayne Ruemmele, Architect
A founding partner of Epikos Land Planning and Architecture, Wayne has spent his career concentrating on high-end residential and resort design around the world. His nationally recognized designs respond to site conditions, respect local materials and create elegant solutions to design challenges. His most recent work includes The Beach Club at the Crossing at WillowBay as well as several buildings at the Tamarack resort in the Rocky Mountains just north of Boise. Wayne and his family reside in McCall, Idaho.

Frank Wakeley, Builder
During his nearly four-decade career, Frank has held leadership roles on numerous industrial, commercial and residential construction projects throughout  Idaho.  He has focused on construction of high-end custom homes since 1988, gaining a reputation as one of the finest builders in Idaho.  His firm, Frank Wakeley Construction, built the resident manager residence, Willow Bay Yacht Club and other structures at The Crossing at Willow Bay.

Jeff Layton, Marina Planner
Jeff is a founding principal of Layton & Sell, a Seattle-based civil and coastal engineering firm that has designed more marinas in Washington than any other firm.  Among his work is the remarkable marina at The Crossing at WillowBay.  Jeff's firm was originally founded as J. A. Layton & Associates in 1980.  He previously worked at CH2M-Hill for nine years as a key employee (shareholder) and the firm's senior coastal engineer.

Tom Jones, Landscape Architect
Tom is a senior landscape architect and development manager for WH Pacific.  Tom has more than 30 years of land development experience giving him broad-based knowledge of site planning, architectural and engineering disciplines.  He thoroughly understands land development from the owner's point of view on various resort communities in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Tom's efforts have helped to enhance and preserve the qualities of this unique community.

Jason Gillies, Landscape Designer/Construction Administration
Jason's primary focus has been working with resort developments, parks, site and area planning, urban development, and residential projects. Jason previously has been involved in the planning, design and construction of Tamarack Resort in McCall, Idaho.  Over the last two years, Jason has familiarized himself with every inch of The Crossing's development and played a major roll in coordinating the on-site construction efforts to make the planned community a reality.
